Articles written by Mr Valizadeh and Return of Kings' contributors express views that women should not be able to vote, that rape on private property should be legalised, that transgender women who sleep with heterosexual men are rapists and that women are biologically determined to follow the orders of men.
Coming from some one that has been sexually abused several times i can honesty say that it ruins your entire life, it ruins your self esteem it ruins your confidence and some times it can pop up and you remember it all over again like it haunts you when you least expect it.
rape/sexual abuse will never be the answer, all-though it happens to both men and women
we never ever could expect how we would feel after, there is no "so you've been raped" self help book, there's no one around but ourselves and no matter how many hot showers we have we will never truly feel clean, we will try our hardest to find love and confuse sex and lust with something more meaningful, but we don't know, we try so hard to feel like we aren't being used that we end up either going through boys and girls like cheap lacky bands or hiding in teh corner and feeling sorry for ourselves. both outcomes are possibly the worst outcomes and unless you understand how it feels you can never truly understand what victims like us are going through every day.
In the video above Mr Valizadeh mentions that "women should take responsibility" and that "legalizing rape was just an absurd notion". After reading the above link and seeing the above video, i have come to my own conclusion.
WOMEN: we can wear what we want but what we wear determines how another person values us!
BUSINESS SUIT: well kept together, smart and busy
MINI SHORTS: cheeky and flirty
LONG DRESS: here to have a nice night out
MINI SKIRT: here to have a wild night out
TIGHT REVEALING DRESS: lets get freaking drunk i might let you touch me
CASUAL JUMPER + PANTS: I'm comfy and casual, lets chill out
PUSH UP CLOTHING: its obvious I'm looking for attention tonight
BAGGY CLOTHES: I literally don't care I'm too busy to give a crap
That's only a couple of clothing choices listed there's so much more,
so my best example : if your going out to the clubs or hitting the town before you go look in the mirror, what are you wearing, does your outfit say " i respect myself" or does it say "im trashy and I'm looking to fuck" you could change that g string so its not out for the world to see, perhaps you could wear a longer skirt or dress so every time you bend over while drunk your vagina doesn't hang out, you could even tuck your boobs in a bit, now I'm not saying you must wear full clothing and hide all your sex appeal, cause we all know if your trying to fish you need the right bait, so all i suggest is that when Valizadeh said "women should be responsible" it sounds to me in his opinion that if your going to be out in public and your skirt is really tiny and your panties are showing and your bra is pokig out of your tight tiny top and your basically just wearing dental floss then perhaps, as shit as this sounds, the risk of you being raped is larger.
When some one looks at you they aren't seeing a lovely girl who is smart and knows how to do calculus and has solved the meaning of life.... far from it, they see exactly what you put before them, small black dress, boobs out wants to fuck probably will fuck if i get her drunk, and these drugs will help if i slip it in her cup or maybe she will just get drunk enough i can take advantage of her anyway, shes basically asking for it in that outfit, but then if you wore a long dress below the knee, they would approach you much differently perhaps even start a long conversation that will continue on the phone the next day or will end up at a cafe drinking coffee till the sun comes up, that or your choice of 24/7 fast food joints still open after the club closes.
so in the end Im not saying you need to change what you wear, i think in all honesty we should be happy with what ever we wear but just knowing what the consequences are instead of going out and then being disappointed that all the men want is to rub there crotch on you on teh dance floor, don't say eww all these gross guys keep coming up to me, say, well obviously alot of different guys think I'm sexy but they have teh wrong idea then pull your dress down and your shirt down so its not super tiny and then try again if all else fails, maybe you should not be trying to hook up with anyone anywhere dressed like that!
